The Society is volunteer based. At present there are no paid staff or employees.
There is a joining fee of $20 for applicants that provides membership status for the first year or part thereof.
Annual membership renewals also cost $20.
Membership of the Society is open to anyone who agrees wih the Purposes of the Society and agrees to abide by the registered Rules of Bacchus Marsh And District Historical Society Inc.

As soon as possible after receipt of the application the Committee will decide by resolution whether to accept or reject the application. If rejected, no reason need be given and any money accompanying the application must be returned to the unsuccessful applicant.

The Society has several working groups, each with different functions:
Historians - This group looks after the Archives on public Open Days and respond to enquiries, including Research Requests. The group also undertakes projects that develop the extent of the collection. | |
Cataloguing - This group publishes information about the collection to the Victorian Collections website and promotes the search capability of the collection to information by developing catalogues and indexes. | |
Communications - This group supports the Society's social media channels such as Facebook, develops content for the website and do the writing for a periodic newsletter. | |
Technology - This group supports the Society's use of computers, software, and general equipment. |
